Bryan's Mom brought these old photos of Bryan over a few months ago. We all thought it was pretty amazing how much father and son look alike when they were about the same age (6 months-ish). When I saw the picture of Bryan concentrating on the toy in his hand, I immediately thought of the picture I took of Cooper with an almost identical look. Anyway, been meaning to post these for a while and now I'm finally doing it! Thought everyone would enjoy seeing the comparison.

Wow, that is a serious resemblance. Simon and I were like that too when he was younger, but as he gets older he looks more and more like himself and less like me. Genetics are weird like that. There's a picture of my grandfather from when he was 17 that someone found a few years ago, and aside from obvious things like our haircuts, it looks a whole heck of a lot like 17-year-old me. No one had ever really made a connection between our appearances before that picture, but for whatever reason things aligned at 17 so that we looked alike. Oh, and as a baby, my nephew Ace looked almost just like my dad did as a baby. It's always neat to see family pictures from people at different ages and notice the various resemblances.
